A Gift from Center Point

We got a surprise donation of new books from Center Point Large Print books.  Publisher, Paul Garelli, says, "[The books are] our gift to your library.  We're doing a little housekeeping in our warehouse making room for new releases.  We hope your readers will enjoy them!"
We will, Paul!  On behalf of the Quitman Public Library and the community it serves, we say THANK YOU!

September is National Library Card Sign-Up Month to remind people that one of the most important learning tools is a library card.  Patron cards are available for those residents who can provide proof of residence in Wood County and photo identification.  A guardian must sign for children ages 5-17.
This month also marks the 12th anniversary of the 9/11 attack, and the library is honoring this tragic event with a media display near the check-out area.
Friday Night Bluegrass Jam Fever is always on the second Friday of the month at the Quitman Public Library.  The next acoustical jam is Friday, September 13, 6 - 9 p.m.  Come early to tune up.  Acoustic musicians of all ages and musical levels are invited to join in, and listeners are always welcome.  Refreshments will be available.
