Photographers of all
levels are invited to the “In-Focus Photography Club of East Texas” that now meets
every 4th Monday in the library’s community room. The next meeting
is Monday, Sept. 26, 2022. Meet other photographers, share ideas, and
participate in photography-related events. Social hour begins at 5:30 p.m.
followed by the 6:30 p.m. meeting and workshop.
Friends of the
Library will meet at noon on Tuesday, Oct. 11, 2022, in the Shamburger
Community Room, and the public is invited to this fun one-hour gathering of
book lovers. The group is planning the FOL Fall Book Sale during the first week
of November and would welcome new members. The Friends
is an active group of volunteers dedicated to the growth and improvement of the
library.
Knitting
and crochet instruction class meets each Thursday 2 – 4 p.m. in the lobby.
Students of all ages and skill levels may bring their own supplies and join the
group for free instruction.
The Wood County TX Genealogical Society
meets each 3rd Monday at 7 p.m. at the library. The next meeting is Oct. 17,

Adult GED support
services are available for students who have registered online at www.ged.com. Certified instructors are available
at the Quitman Public Library on Wednesdays to assist with reading/writing
skills and math.
