The Quitman
Public Library will be closed for the Thanksgiving holiday on Thursday, Nov. 24
and Friday, Nov. 25, 2022.
During November,
the library celebrates several events and highlighs each with displays of
books, movies, audiobooks, and eBooks. Near the checkout area is a display of arranged
by the QPL staff to help you plan for the holidays. Stop by and check it out.
The Wood County TX Genealogical Society invites
family researchers and historians to meet on Monday, Nov. 21, 2022 at 7 p.m. at

The In-Focus Photography Club of
East Texas meets every 4th Monday in the library’s community room. The
next meeting is Monday, Nov. 28, 2022. Visit with other photographers, share
ideas, and participate in photography-related contests and events. Social hour
begins at 5:30 p.m. followed by the 6:30 p.m. meeting and workshop.
Knitting and crochet instruction class meets each
Thursday 2 – 4 p.m. in the lobby. Students of all ages and skill levels may
bring their own supplies and join the group for free instruction.

GED support services are available for students who have registered online at www.ged.com. Certified instructors are available in
the computer area at the library on Wednesdays to assist with reading/writing
skills and math.
