The Quitman Public Library is participating with the Greater Quitman
Area Chamber of Commerce on October 31st to present “A Haunting in
Hogg Park” from 6:30 – 8:30 p.m.
Activities will be concentrated around the Stinson House, and a schedule
of events will be posted near its front gate.
There will be three contests for best costume, loudest scream, and best pre-carved/decorated
pumpkin. Award-winning storyteller, Dru
Woods, will share spine-chilling stories around the campfire every half hour
beginning at 6:30 p.m. The Trail of Terror is back this year, for $1 per person. For those too young for the trail, there will
be a fortune teller for tots and a timed Coin-Search-in-the-Haystack booth.
Vendor booths will be serving drinks, hot dogs, chips and brownies, along with
loads of candy with lots of tricks and treats. For more information, contact
the Chamber of Commerce at 903-763-4411.
