Letter to the Editor of the Wood County Democrat,

Dear Editor of the Wood County Democrat,
On Thursday, October 31st, many from our community turned out to enjoy an evening of Halloween fun at Gov. Jim Hogg Park in Quitman TX.
On behalf of the City of Quitman and the Greater Quitman Area Chamber of Commerce, we want to thank each of you who attended this year’s Halloween event: A Haunting at Hogg Park.  We appreciate those who helped plan the event, those who sponsored activities, those who volunteered to set up booths and attractions, and all who came out to share an evening of Halloween fun.

Special thanks goes to Brookshire’s – Quitman, Sonic, Dairy Queen, Peoples Telephone, Quitman-Lake Fork Kiwanis, Church on the Rock, Bank Texas, Living Waters Fellowship, Brand New Church, Hainesville Volunteer Fire Department, Quitman Rotary Club, Wood County National Bank, Guiding Light Too, First Baptist Church – Quitman, the Lutheran Church, Judith Sanders, Pam Riley, Dru Woods, Quitman Police Department, and Friends of the Quitman Arboretum.

The event was, once again, a great success and we hope all participation enjoyed it as much as we did.
Sincerely,
Delene Allen, Civic Services Director – City of Quitman
Carey Fry, Director – Quitman Chamber of Commerce
