June 2016 is Summer Reading 2016 “On Your Mark, Get Set …READ!” at the Quitman Public Library! Young readers are encouraged to stop in to register and pick up their reading game cards at the library’s front desk. Each Thursday in June, from 2 – 4 p.m., there will be an activity.  This Thursday, June 9th, the theme is “Blue Blazes!” Come see Dance Dimensions and the Blue Blazes Jump Rope Team from Mineola TX perform for us at the Carroll Green Civic Center, 602 McAlister Street, Quitman TX. If you have a jump rope, bring it and join in! Special thanks to Bobby Gray, owner of Hog Computer and Jay and Jan Gorman, owners of the Texas Tea Room for sponsoring this event and donating jump ropes so everyone can get jumping!
