Wednesday, March 28, 2018 Wood County Monitor – Quitman TX

Across the country gardeners are celebrating April as National Gardening Month!  On display this month is a collection of books -- ranging from novice to expert -- to help you grow your best garden ever!  Many of the books were selected by the Quitman Garden Club and purchased with funds donated by club members. Stop in and check the display.
Mark your calendar for the 2nd Friday Acoustical Music Jam on April 13 from 6 – 9 p.m. in the library’s Thurman Shamburger Community Room. Doors open at 5 p.m. for those who want to tune up or practice.  Acoustical musicians of all ages and skill levels are welcome, and listeners are welcome too. Refreshments are available, but feel free to bring anything you like.  For more information, call 903-975-5745.
If you have not filed your IRS return, there is still time. The library has the forms you need and computers are available during business hours. Wi-Fi is available 24/7.  You can visit the library’s online catalog at http://quitman.biblionix.com/catalog and select “What’s Hot” to see all the latest books, audiobooks, and DVDs ready to be checked out. You can even select “Most Popular” to see what items are checked out the most! Also, you can sign up for email or text notifications to remind you that your books are due.
The library is open Tuesday through Friday from 10 a.m. until 6 p.m. Call 903-763-4191 or visit our pages at www.quitmanlibrary.org and www.facebook.com/quitmanpubliclibrary.
