Friends of the Quitman Public Library’s Spring Book Sale is planned for April 28 – May 1, 2026. The following donations are accepted during business hours: books, audiobooks, DVDs, puzzles, board games, computer games and software, music albums, tapes and CDs.
Regular hours are Tuesday through Friday from 10 a.m. until
6 p.m. The library will be closed for Easter Weekend on Friday, April 3, but
will reopen on Tuesday, April 7, 2026.

Whyte Dove Writers’ Club, a distinctive group of local
published authors, meets monthly on second Tuesdays from 6 – 8:30 p.m. This
workshop is free and open to the public.
Earning a General Educational Development (GED) certificate
is easier to navigate when you have a tutor available to guide you through the
process. A professionally trained tutor
who specializes in math and essay writing is available at the library each
Wednesday, 4 - 6 p.m. Contact saradelarosa@outlook.com,
or just stop by during class hours.
QPL Knitting & Crochet Class regularly meets each
Thursday 2 – 4 p.m. at the library. Students of all ages and skill levels are
invited to join this growing group.
Wood County Metal Detector Club, led by Jerry Tinney, meets
on 1st Mondays of each month at 6:30 p.m. in the Shamburger Community Room.
