OverDrive
Read is a new way of reading eBooks, and it is now available for patrons of the
Quitman Public Library as part of the Northeast Texas Library Consortium. What
that means is you can check out and read the latest eBooks for up to 2 weeks without
the need for downloads or special software on a smartphone, tablet, or
computer. All you need to borrow digital titles is an Internet connection and a
library card.
If you’re
using a tablet or smartphone, you may want to download OverDrive’s free mobile
app to easily find and save the library’s OverDrive website and to download and
enjoy borrowed titles on these popular devices and platforms: Android™,
BlackBerry®, iOS (iPhone®/iPad®/iPod® touch), Windows® Phone, Kindle® Fire
tablets, KoboTM tablets, and NOOK® tablets.
Available at the front desk and on
our website are short handouts that outline basic steps for borrowing and
enjoying digital titles from your library, as well as specific steps for
getting started.
Regular
library hours are Tuesday through Friday from 10 a.m. until 6 p.m. For more information, please call
903-763-4191 and visit our website at www.quitmanlibrary.org.
