place at the Quitman Public Library on Friday, April 26 from 10 - 6 p.m. and 10
a.m. - 2 p.m. Saturday, April 27, 2013.
Proceeds benefit Friends of the Quitman Public Library.

Night Bluegrass Acoustical Jam Fever on Friday, May 10, from 6 – 9 p.m. in the
library’s Thurman Shamburger Community Room at 202 East Goode Street right here
in Quitman! Doors open at 5 p.m. for those who want to tune up or
practice. Acoustical musicians of all
ages and skill levels are welcome, and listeners are welcome too. Refreshments
are available, but feel free to bring anything you like. For more information, call 903-952-8305 or

Adult Services
GED classes meet each Wednesday from 4-6
p.m., and English as a Second Language (ESL) classes meet each Thursday 4-6 p.m. The free classes are taught by Sandra Grider.
Knitting and crochet instruction is
offered by Virginia Hoffpauir in the library’s main gallery each Thursday, 2:00
– 4:00 p.m. Bring your own supplies and
join the group for a fun time of free instruction.
Young Adult and
Children’s Services
Story Time
meets each Friday at 11 a.m. The program
and craft activities are designed for preschoolers, but anyone who wants to
hear a good story is welcome. Special
thanks go to volunteer readers, Sara de la Rosa, Stephanie Felty, Thomas
Harrell II and Diane Moseley.
Advisory Board
The Quitman Public Library
Advisory Board will meet Thursday, May 9, 2013 at 6 p.m. in the Shamburger
Community Room. The public is always
welcome to attend advisory board meetings.
Friends of the
Library
The Friends of the Quitman
Public Library invites the public to join them for a “pot luck” dinner at their
next meeting at noon on Tuesday, May 14, 2012, in the library’s community room.
Friends of the Library is an active
group of volunteers dedicated to the growth and improvement of the library. The public is always invited to bring a lunch
and spend an hour with people who really love their library.
Genealogy
The society will meet on Monday, May 20, 2013
at 7 p.m. in the Shamburger Community room at the Quitman Public Library. Volunteers will be available beginning at 6
