QPL Connections by Delene Allen

Wood County Democrat – Quitman TX
May 11, 2016

It’s Mystery Month at the Quitman Public Library, and the line-up of books on display is looking criminally good. Stop by and check out what is new in adult, young adult and audio mysteries. For even more mysteries, download the OverDrive® app to connect to our library’s vast collection of eBooks, audiobooks and streaming videos to enjoy on your electronic devices.
Keep track of your library account using your mobile device by entering quitman.biblionix.com in your browser. Log in using your library card number, and your password is the telephone number we have on file for your account (include dashes).  Search our online catalog for books, see if they are in, and place your hold.  You may track items you have checked out and renew them yourself.  To avoid overdues, there is a notification option where you can set reminders.
The next 2nd Friday Acoustical Jam Circle is Friday, May 13, 2016. All skill levels and ages are welcome. Everyone is invited to stop by and play or just listen to some great acoustical music. This month, we’re hoping to have a special guest jammer from The Texas Smoke Band.
Patron cards are available for those residents who can provide proof of residence in Wood County and photo identification.  A guardian must sign for children ages 5 - 17.  Regular hours are Tuesday through Friday from 10:00 a.m. until 6:00 p.m.  Call 903-763-4191 for more information or visit our website at www.quitmanlibrary.org and keep up with current events on our Facebook page at www.facebook.com/quitmanpubliclibrary.
