QPL Friends of
the Library still has eclipse glasses at $1.50 each! Stop by the Quitman Public
Library during business hours to get yours. Proceeds benefit library programs.
The library will
be closed on Friday, Mar. 29, 2024, for Good Friday.
Free knitting and crochet instruction class meets each
Thursday 2 – 4 p.m. Students of all ages and skill levels may bring their own
supplies and patterns to trade.
The Wood County
Metal Detector Club, led by Jerry Tinney, meets on 1st Mondays at 6:30 p.m.
Whyte Dove Writers’ Club, a distinctive
group of local published authors, meets monthly on second Tuesdays from 6 –
8:30 p.m.
The Wood County TX Genealogical Society meets each 3rd
Monday at 5 p.m. in the library’s community room.
Notary service is generally
available at the library during regular business hours, but to guarantee an
appointment, call (903)763-2665. Notary fee is $10 per document.
