On Thursday, October 31st, many from our community turned out to enjoy an evening of Halloween fun at Gov. Jim Hogg Park in Quitman TX.
On behalf of the City of Quitman and the Greater Quitman Area Chamber of Commerce, we want to thank each of you who attended this year’s Halloween event: A Haunting at Hogg Park. We appreciate those who helped plan the event, those who sponsored activities, those who volunteered to set up booths and attractions, and all who came out to share an evening of Halloween fun.
Special thanks goes to Brookshire’s – Quitman, Sonic, Dairy Queen, Peoples Telephone, Quitman-Lake Fork Kiwanis, Church on the Rock, Bank Texas, Living Waters Fellowship, Brand New Church, Hainesville Volunteer Fire Department, Quitman Rotary Club, Wood County National Bank, Guiding Light Too, First Baptist Church – Quitman, the Lutheran Church, Judith Sanders, Pam Riley, Dru Woods, Quitman Police Department, and Friends of the Quitman Arboretum.
The event was, once again, a great success and we hope all participation enjoyed it as much as we did.
Sincerely,

This is Quitman
Public Library’s third year to partner with A Circle of Ten’s Gateway to Libraries initiative that allows our library the ability to offer adult GED preparatory
classes and ESL classes to those in our community.
I appreciate how the initiative has grown to
include children by offering Summer Family Literacy activities for the entire
family.
This program has allowed our library to reach
out and better serve those in our community.
Helping people connect with the information they need to achieve their
goals is what our library is all about.
